Datuk Liew said that Sabah is also voted as one of the top ten places to enjoy the sunset in the world. It is also the only place in Asia that is suitable to retire and recuperate in the world. The local tourism-related industries are now booming.

“Our government also sets a goal to achieve the number of China tourist of 1 million. What we lack most now is the four-star and the five-star hotels. Therefore, we hope that entrepreneurs will consider this project because our tourism industry is booming, while driving the surrounding industries,” Datuk Liew added.

Datuk Liew also stressed that there is still room for real estate in Sabah as there is no seasons, the climate throughout the year is mild and there are no environmental problems. It is a very livable place.

He added that the MCCC Sabah Branch is willing to help if there is a need in development and investment.

“MCCC is an organization gathered with talents and representatives in all fields. We have all the networks and contacts you need whether it is real estate or tourism.”

Datuk Liew also expressed the hope that Dongguan’s business representatives will be able to organize a delegation of entrepreneurs from Dongguan to MCCC Sabah Branch in the future to maintain close ties as well as more frequent cooperation and contacts. We hoped Malaysia can become a vanguard in implementing the Belt and Road Initiative in Sabah.

Wu Lianhong also said that many people in Dongguan now have gone abroad to invest in Malaysia. However, she has not yet invested in Sabah. She hoped that he would have the opportunity to bring the related investment projects to Sabah.

Wu, who has visited Sabah twice this year, said she was very impressed with Sabah and liked the surrounding as well as the investment environment in Sabah. She is optimistic that Sabah will be a place worth investing in real estate in the future.

Wu said Dongguan is currently a first-class city and welcomes frequent exchanges in Dongguan to bring the entrepreneurs from Dongguan to go abroad and participate in the concept of the Belt and Road Initiative.

On the other hand, Niu Hasha also introduced Dongguan Talent Association for Promotion and Development, which gathers talents from various fields, especially the world famous manufacturing industry in Dongguan, high-tech industry, high-end information industry, and fashion industry. It now has 280 enterprises, the total economic output is more than one hundred billion yuan.

Niu Hasha said she had visited Malaysia Dongguan Association and Seremban Toong Onn Community Association in April 2017. At that time, Niu did not meet anyone from Sabah. Therefore, she did not manage to establish any contact. She had a very good first impression on Sabah when she came to Sabah this time.

“Dongguan and the folks in Malaysia are closely related. Currently, the Dongguan entrepreneurs in Malaysia are already the fifth generation. We express our heartfelt admiration to the elder generation who went through hard work to start a business in Malaysia,” Niu added.

Niu said that Dongguan talents hope to contact with various local business associations in Malaysia under the China’s Belt and Road Initiative. She also hoped that both sides would have the opportunity to have a long-term cooperation and that the MCCC Sabah branch can visit Dongguan and discuss the possibility of signing a framework agreement on strategic cooperation so that various projects can be implemented through MCCC Sabah Branch.
