(Kota Kinabalu) The Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) Sabah Branch Chinese New Year open house was attended by government officials and the business community. Welcoming New Year is the best time to exchange ideas with the industries and prepare for the future.
“Although it is increasingly challenging to do business in the past few years and the competition is becoming more intense, crisis represents opportunity. The transformation of the market and the change of consumption patterns will also bring us completely different opportunity. If we grasp it, everyone will be able to create business opportunity,” Datuk Liew Chun Tai, MCCC Sabah Branch President said.
Datuk Liew also promised that the branch will continue to promote various activities this year, including hosting more official and non-governmental business associations from China, organising various business matching and exchanges, and organising delegations to China for business visits. I hope that all MCCC members will respond positively to our various activities and let us welcome the arrival of the China era. He firmly believes that everyone has been working hard and will surely have a rich harvest in the future.
“Our Malaysian entrepreneurs emphasize credibility and keep their promises. In particular, Sabah has abundant resources. Together with the help of Liang Caide, Consul-General to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah will certainly be the best partner for China investors. So, we are optimistic that both parties will have more cooperation to achieve a win-win situation in the future,” He added.
The Chinese New Year celebration is also to celebrate Datuk Liew‘s company moving to new building. He said that although it was just a simple ceremony and celebration, it marked a new milestone for the company.
“Everyone may come from different industries and fields, but the expectations and wishes of the New Year are the same. We also hope that everyone can maintain close contact and exchange important information from time to time so that our business can grow,” Datuk Liew said.
