新闻稿

Kuala Lumpur, The flood is ruthless but there is love in the world. The Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) and the Dewan Perdagangan Islamic Malaysia (DPIM) join force together with the enterprises, performers and non-government organisations to launch the “Malaysia Bersatu Hati” Flood Relief Campaign to help the flood victims.

Peninsular Malaysia experienced its worst flooding in decades and out of its states, eight have been seriously affected. Therefore MCCC and DPIM jointly launch the “Malaysia Bersatu Hati” Flood Relief Campaign, calling on members, entrepreneurs and the public to donate relief funds and essential supplies.

The MCCC Women Entrepreneurs Committee (WEC) has started an essential supplies collection campaign for the past two weeks. At the same time, MCCC WEC also has organised volunteers to help the victims in the hardest-hit areas such as Bentong, Pahang, etc to clean up their houses and distribute supplies.

Meanwhile, 150 volunteers from Young Malaysians Movement (YMM), one of the strategic partners of the campaign, will be going to Mentakab, Pahang to help the local flood victims.

Apart from the program in cleaning up in disaster areas and distributing relief aid, MCCC and DPIM are also looking to raise RM200,000 to purchase the supplies and distribute to the victims or help them in acquiring their needs and livelihood tools. The fundraising campaign has successfully raised RM100,000 in just last few days.

Furthermore, various artists will be performing in a charity performance scheduled to be streaming online on January 8, 2022 being one of the key activities of the “Malaysia Bersatu Hati” Flood Relief Campaign organised by founder of Dua Space Dance Theatre, Anthony Meh Kim Chuan. Current invited performers include Malay martial arts dancer Mohd Nurulazmie Bin Zanal Abdden, popular local singer Chng Shyue Chun, famous singer-songwriter and actor Yise Loo, International award-winning magician Mark & Pinky and others.
