The 6th Malaysia-China Entrepreneur Conference (MCEC 2016) was successfully held at the “Land of Abundance” and the “Heart of Western China”—Chengdu in the Sichuan Province, China.
In order to promote Malaysia-China bilateral trade, the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) seized the opportunity to organize the first Malaysia-China Entrepreneur Conference in 2011. Since then, MCCC has organised this conference annually. MCEC 2014 was held beyond border in Xiamen, China and successfully secured USD 1.2 billion in trade and investment.
Unlike the previous five editions where each of them gathered over a thousand participants, the 2016 edition emphasises “quality over quantity”, limiting the number of participants to 400. The MCEC 2016 was a calendar event held in collaboration with Chengdu Municipal Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, with the endorsement from Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia and the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia.
Moreover, the 16th Western China International Fair (WCIF 2016) will also be held concurrently with MCEC 2016, as both events are complementary to each other.
