In addition to the cabinet ministers taking the lead in a 10% pay cut, several state governments have also followed suit. Some individuals in the private sector have consciously perceived that they have a share of responsibility for the fate of the country and spontaneously raise funds to save the country. This is an attempt that has not been done in the past. It is evident that the people have high hopes towards the new government.<\/p>\n<p>After chairing the second cabinet meeting on 30 May, the Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, announced that the government has found that many people are willing to donate to the government to solve the financial problems.
