(front row, L-R) \u00a0Gan Leong Piow, Ooi Siong Hua and Dr Sim Eng Kean.<\/p>\n<p>22 May 2018<\/p>\n<p>Kota Bharu: Datuk Tan Choon Hwa, President of the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) Kelantan is pleased that there was no turbulence or instability in the transition between the old and new regimes.<\/p>\n<p>Tan also congratulated the new government led by the Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, which quickly implemented the reform plans such as setting up a council of eminent persons, gradually abolishing the Goods and Services Tax\u00a0(GST), reducing the size of the cabinet, investigating the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (<em>1MDB)<\/em>\u00a0and setting up an institutional reform committee by living up to the expectations of the people.<\/p>\n<p>As the President of the MCCC Kelantan Branch, he emphasised that the new government must open up to the Chinese companies to invest.
