SUZHOU: In order to implement and promote the relationship between Malaysia and China, the President of the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC), Tan Yew Sing, Secretary-General of MCCC, Kevin Siah, and Chairman of the Trade Fair and Business Development Committee, Ting Young Kang recently paid a courtesy visit to the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese of Suzhou P.R.C. to exchange views on boosting the Belt and Road initiative and its development.

Chairman of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese of Suzhou P.R.C., Shen Jinhua, Vice Chairman, Zhang Zhongqing, and Executive Vice President of the Youth Committee, Zhang Jie, warmly welcomed the MCCC delegation.

Both sides exchanged opinions on how to effectively utilise the Belt and Road opportunity to guide the vast number of overseas Chinese to seize this opportunity for shared cooperation and mutual prosperity.

The MCCC visited China mainly to discuss the post-conference excursion of the Malaysia-China Entrepreneur Conference (MCEC 2018) held in Nanjing this year. At present, both sides have decided that the participants get to visit one of the three cities—Suzhou, Wuxi and Taizhou—on 21 September 2018. It is worth noting that these three major cities have their own characteristics and can cater to participants with different interest and needs.

Suzhou focuses on innovation and technology, Wuxi focuses on smart city and the Internet of Things (IoT), and Taizhou focuses on health industries including pharmaceuticals and tourism business opportunities.

In the coming MCEC 2018, the MCCC only allocate seats for 200 entrepreneurs, with business matching as the main highlight. This will allow Malaysian entrepreneurs to look for business opportunities directly with the Nanjing entrepreneurs. Interested entrepreneurs are welcomed to call the MCCC Secretariat at 03-9223 1188 or email to mcec@mccc.my and sec@mccc.my for more information.
