The Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) organised a two-day Generative AI training programme, “Gen AI Essentials: From Skills to Solutions,” on 3 and 4 September at the Chamber’s 4th Floor Auditorium Hall, to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) master Generative AI application skills and enhance their digital transformation capabilities and operational efficiency.
The programme attracted 40 member company representatives and was jointly sponsored by MCCC and its National Committee Member Lim Chin Khuan, with the training conducted by Ali Reza Azmi, Founder and Managing Partner of Twenty-Four Consulting.

The training was structured across two stages. Day One focused on building individual skills, covering AI fundamentals and a comparative overview of the functions, strengths and limitations of mainstream Generative AI tools, including Gemini, Gemini Notebook, Claude and ChatGPT. Participants gained a quick understanding of the practical applications and usage techniques of different tools, learning how to leverage AI to improve daily office productivity — for example, by rapidly producing presentation slides and conducting data analysis. The session also guided participants through prompt-writing techniques and hands-on practice with AI Agents to complete real tasks such as presentation creation and data analysis. The session also touched on image prompt engineering, photo-to-video generation, and text-to-speech tools for audiovisual content creation.

Day Two extended the focus from individual skills to organisational-level applications, centring on how Generative AI can be used to build automated workflows, including the use of tools such as Google Apps Script and VBA to automate work processes. Under the trainer’s guidance, participants presented their outcomes at the close of the programme, followed by a reflection and Q&A session that allowed them to relate what they had learnt to their own business contexts and consider practical implementation.
The overall programme was designed with a practice-oriented approach, combining instruction with hands-on exercises so that participants not only understood the concepts and tool trends of Generative AI, but also acquired practical operational skills to apply in their daily work and business operations — strengthening enterprise competitiveness amid the ongoing wave of digitalisation.

Upon completion, all participants received a Certificate of Completion issued by Twenty-Four Consulting, along with comprehensive training materials including the RTCO framework and AI Agent design guides for continued reference. Many participants gave positive feedback, describing the content as substantive and highly interactive, with some noting that the training had opened their eyes to new possibilities for applying AI.
MCCC has long prioritised the digitalisation needs of its member companies, and this training programme reflects the Chamber’s ongoing efforts to help members master AI technology and strengthen their digital transformation capabilities. The Chamber expresses its appreciation for the support and sponsorship extended to this training programme, particularly the generous support of National Committee Member Lim Chin Khuan, which enabled more member companies to benefit from this opportunity to upskill digitally.
