Kuala Lumpur,Jan. 13, 2026: Dato’ Abdul Majid Ahmad Khan, Honorary President of the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce and President of Malaysia-China Friendship Association, accompanied the newly appointed Consul General of Malaysia in Xi’an, China, Ms. Farah Rakesh, on a courtesy visit to the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC). During the visit, both parties exchanged views on the current development of Malaysian small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Also in attendance were MCCC Vice President Dato’ See Meng Geok, Vice President Eugene Roy Joseph, Secretary-General Kevin T. C. Siah, Chairman of the Branch Liaison Committee Koh Keng Kok, and member of the International Commercial Affairs Committee Zhang Yuan Yuan.
During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on the challenges currently faced by Malaysian enterprises as well as opportunities for bilateral cooperation. The Chamber welcomed Chinese enterprises to expand overseas, thereby promoting Malaysia–China economic and trade cooperation. It was also proposed that the Xi’an region recommend various business opportunities and activities for the Chamber’s participation, in order to further expand cooperation platforms and bring more tangible business opportunities to member enterprises.
