KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) and SME Corp. Malaysia held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Exchange Ceremony on July 31th, during the 2025 MSME Performance Sharing Session and Press Conference, witnessed by YB Steven Sim Chee Keong, Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development.
This milestone follows a courtesy visit by MCCC to the Minister on 12 May 2026, during which both sides discussed ways to strengthen support for local MSMEs and explore synergies with agencies under the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP). Today’s MoU exchange marks the formal fruition of those discussions.
Under the agreement, MCCC and SME Corp. Malaysia will collaborate across several strategic areas, including:
• Entrepreneurship development
• Capacity building
• Business matching
• Internationalisation
• Digitalisation and innovation
• Information sharing
The partnership is designed not only to benefit MCCC members, but also to extend its reach to the broader MSME ecosystem. By bridging businesses with government programmes, market access, and capability-building initiatives, the collaboration aims to create tangible, inclusive growth opportunities for enterprises nationwide.
Both organisations expressed a strong commitment to advancing the MSME agenda, in line with national economic priorities and the evolving needs of the business community.
